How will I know what’s going on in Amsterdam when I’m not on social media anymore?

There are Queer events, parties, protests, workshops, and little get-to-gethers in Amsterdam — but all that info is scattered across multiple group chats or on social media. Wouldn’t it be cute (and useful) if everything was just in one place?

That’s what Queer Kalender is for.
A central, community-powered calendar with upcoming Queer events in Amsterdam. An overview of cool stuff happening in Amsterdam. Wanna know when the next FLINTA party or the next Drag queen bingo is gonna be? 

The calendar is non-commercial, with zero Google tracking. The calendar uses GoatCounter instead, so your data stays yours. No creepy ads, no surveillance capitalism, just vibes. It's hosted on a server in Europe.

Everything here is built with love by a passionate Queer developer (👋 Hi, that’s me!) and some amazing friends. Events are manually added by a few editors for now, but maybe one day, you’ll be able to add your own too — once I get some account stuff going.

It’s a work in progress, like most of us. If something’s missing or you have an idea, send a feature request through GitHub or just email me at events@queer-kalender.nl. You can also check the "roadmap" on Github for some possibilities for how the site can develop in the future. For example: now only events based in Amsterdam are listed, hopefully multiple cities in the future.

This is a small rebellion against Big Tech, made with Queer joy and lots of late-night coding.
