ReRoll Works, Van Woustraat 202A, Amsterdam

If you're looking to meet other queer people who are interested in board games, then you've come to the right place!

Our aim is to bring members of the FLINTA (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Agender) board gaming community together to meet, socialise and enjoy the hobby in a safe and respectful environment.

So far, the events have seen mostly lighter games with a casual approach allowing for discussions. With the whole library available to play though, anything is possible at our next event!

Our events are open to all everyone of all identities, but we ask everyone understand they are entering a FLINTA safe space and should behave respectfully.

    What's FLINTA?
Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, and Agender folks – this night is all about you! Whether you're a seasoned strategist or just curious about what all the dice-rolling fuss is about, you've found your tribe.

    What's the vibe?
Think cozy game café meets chosen family causal drinks. We're creating a space where you can be completely yourself while discovering your new favourite game (or absolutely crushing everyone at your current obsession). No mansplaining, no weird energy – just pure, authentic gaming joy with people who totally get it.

    New to board games?
Perfect! Our community loves sharing their favorites and teaching newbies.

    Already a gaming queen?
Bring your A-game – we're ready for whatever strategy you've got brewing.

    What to expect:
A curated selection of games (from quick party games to deep strategy) and the kind of conversations that happen when everyone feels genuinely safe to be themselves. Plus, you might just discover your new gaming obsession or find your regular game night crew.

    Bring:
    Just your fabulous self!

Come play, stay connected, and let's build something beautiful together – one game at a time! ✨

    The House Rules:
✅ Bring your own games or explore our collection (including our own boundary-pushing titles)
✅ Outside food welcome – bring snacks for those intense gaming sessions
❌ No external drinks – we've got refreshments sorted
❌ No alcohol – keeping our space accessible and comfortable for everyone

    Queer shibari festival

    Lola Lieven, Rodenrijsstraat 43, Amsterdam

t is time to reunite again, rope nerds!
There is a lot of noise in the background of our lives:
    the noise of egos,
    the noise of collapsing systems.
With this festival, we invite you into a space of silence
a space for breathing, processing, and digesting
the dynamics of rope and bondage.
As a space, we also wish to listen to
    the unspoken,
    the unseen,
    the unattended.

There will be several workshops and performances during the festival. The program will be announced soon.

The Amsterdam Mini Shibari festival is our attempt as a common room of a neighbourhood to increase the visibility of queer/kinky programming in the Nieuw-West. We keep a certain number of community tickets for the neighbourhood queers so that they can come at discounted prices. Organising this event costs a lot, due to the fees of all facilitators, teachers and performers and the cost of building the space suitable for this festival. Hence we are aware of the expensive ticket prices. If you can not afford it and want to be in the space, write to us, and we will find possibilities, and state a very short motivation about yourself to: aysenur@lolalieven.nl

Queer Sauna Club (QSC) is a queer-centered sauna night in Amsterdam for LGBTQIA+ folks who want heat, cold, rest, and social connection, without the volume and intensity we experience at parties and other common gay spaces.

    Think:
    - Sauna, cold, and quiet corners
    - A small, social group rather than a big event
    - A place where your nervous system, not your social battery, is the main focus

If you’ve ever wished there was a calmer, more caring sauna space for queer folks, this is it.

    Art Bar SEXYLAND #28

    Queer Board Gayming XL

ReRoll Works, Van Woustraat 202A, Amsterdam

Every other Sunday (mostly), we're going BIG! From 13:00 to 22:00, it's all day gayming at our HQ.

With a bigger group, more tables and lots more time, these events have a something for everyone.
A common strategy is medium weight games, sprinkled with more casual games and breaks.
If you're in it for the long haul, there's usually a table with a crunchy 3 hour session of something like Nemesis or Unfathomable.
Many stay and grab food from a nearby restaurant to keep playing into the evening.

    Perfect for:
Complex strategy games that need breathing room
Trying out or revisiting your favourites
Socialising both in and out of games
    Learning new things without rushing
    Meeting fellow gamers

    What to expect:
A relaxed, marathon gaming atmosphere where you can start something ambitious at lunch and still have time to see it through properly, comfortably sitting alongside the multiple sprints of smaller games for those with a more bite-sized appetite for rules and play.

    When:
    Every other Sunday, 13:00-22:00

    Bring:
Your patience, snacks, and that game you've been dying to play properly

Come hungry for strategy, stay for the satisfaction of a game well-played! 🏆

    Pottenkijkers

By Pottenkijkers @ De uitkijk, Prinsengracht 452, Amsterdam

On the 2nd of March Pottenkijkers is back at De Uitkijk with a special evening focussed on trans/masculinity. At this screening we explore masculinity in our broader community, be it by butches, trans dykes, our trans brothers, or beyond. Throughout history, members of the LGBTQ+ community found different ways and words to define their masculinity and their identity, something that has evolved over time, often related to the tools at hand in our society. The name ‘Pottenkijkers’ might not be applicable for some of the people we are about to watch, but the exploration of gender identity and masculinity is shared and inherently part of many queer, trans and lesbian experiences.

On March 2nd, we are screening the short documentary kiss kiss bang bang (2025) by Amsterdam director Ollie Launspach and The Agressives (2005) by Daniel Pebble.

In kiss kiss bang bang, a love portrait made from home videos, photos, diaries, audio recordings, and interviews, director Ollie Launspach explores the impact of his transition on his girlfriend Sterre Mulder. While he tries to understand her emotional world, the chaos in his own mind slowly unfolds.

The intimate documentary The Agressives follows the lives of six queer people over the course of five years starting in 1999. Through their experiences, the documentary explores gender, sexuality, race and class. The documentary shows a moment in time where the main characters all define their masculinity while (still) identifying as women. Their stance gives insight into the transphobia and stigma very much present in their lives. Most of them would later go in transition, after the filming of this documentary ended.

    Shibari classes

    Lola Lieven, Rodenrijsstraat 43, Amsterdam

These classes are designed for absolute beginners, beginners and people who already know how to coil rope, tie a single column tie and double column tie each with double wraps and a square knot.

Information about the class: Shibari is the term generally used to define Japanese rope bondage. Although it has many similarities to Western bondage (the B of BDSM), Shibari is centred around the dynamic between partners and creates a scene of play where ropes are leading the player. The practice is rooted in eroticism but evolved outside Japan apart from sexual also to artistic practices and community building. The classes are designed for all levels but especially for beginners to give a point of entry and start the journey with ropes. They will give everyone the tools to get started in their practice safely, no matter which role they prefer to take on, tying or getting tied; switching is permitted and encouraged. The event lasts 3 hours of which 2 hours are dedicated to class and 1 hour to free tying, a ‘rope-jam’ where one can practise, tie for fun and socialise and mix with other participants. The topic of each class is different every month and will be announced in advance.

    Bio of the teacher

Eileen aka Asiana is a kinky switch with a passion for Japanese rope bondage (shibari). She’s the founder of RopeLounge and has been teaching shibari for over 10 years in Amsterdam. The aesthetics and Japanese approach to tying have a great appeal to her. Generally she likes the more challenging way of tying and enjoys seeing her partners suffer in her ropes. From an educational point of view she likes to focus both on the technical part for safety reasons and the playful part for fun.

To celebrate our six-year anniversary, we have invited our sister from another mister, Bario. We’re hooking up with our friends at TILLATEC to bring you a chaotic night of debauchery, from dusk till dawn…

Owning a queer bar in these times is, well… you already read it online… fucking hard. We both want to keep providing the spaces you all love to come together in. So if there is a sugar daddy out there, slide into our motherfucking DMs, because these girls want Cartier… and being able to turn on the lights would be great too, mama.

We both have a hell of a year planned for you all… Don’t sleep on these tickets, sis!

    Poly stories

Treehouse NDSM, T.T. Neveritaweg 55-57, Amsterdam

Poly Stories | Yes... but body says no

Sometimes, the head goes faster than the body, or the other way around. It doesn’t mean that ENM is not for us, or that fantasies or needs cannot be fulfilled.

When do we hold back, and when do we stretch ourselves? How do we strike a balance, deepening our ENM practice and relationships at a pace that works for us? What do you really want, right now?

Yes, no, maybe and the magical: not yet. In exploring something new, we don’t need to have everything all at once. What we want in theory and in practice, are not always the same, or may need to be reached step by step. Other times, we may catch ourselves by surprise, feeling comfortable taking something one step further. Doing less, or more, than originally intended or agreed upon, is fine, as long as everyone is into it.

  35. Shibari classes

    Lola Lieven, Rodenrijsstraat 43, Amsterdam

Hoe blijven we samen sterk?

My body is a temple, until it isn’t

By QPFA @ Plein Theater, Sajetplein 39, Amsterdam

n auto-fictional theatre performance by two (trans) non-binary lovers during their personal search for physicality, identity, and gender. Against the backdrop of an increasingly radicalizing world, they explore a more unguarded, unapologetic attitude by claiming their bodies as a construction site rather than a temple.

At the center of the stage stand two folded, twisted aluminum cubes, partially covered by semi-transparent latex curtains. The set evokes both a nightmare-like operating room and an industrial cocoon or a life-size three-dimensional puzzle. In any case, this space embodies the inner world of An and Lucian—this is their space. Here, they do not have to apologize and can shamelessly explore their trans identity.

Both have a curious and complex relationship with their bodies, as a result of dysphoria, endless attempts to accept their biologically assigned sex, socially imposed transphobia, or simply because bodies can be alienating. In any case, they attempt to gain control over this physicality by adapting it to their own vision. They experiment with orthoses—sculptural bodily extensions that allow them to redefine everything. This act of redefining takes place out loud, with the audience as accomplice. New extensions are tested, old beliefs are dismantled. Again and again, the knife goes in—literally and figuratively.

Their bodies are approached as a construction site: fluid, unfinished and in constant transition. This claim shifts the perspective away from sexualization, misgendering, and dysphoria, toward play, pleasure, euphoria, and self-determination.

  3. Shibari classes

And God saw that it was almost good...

Maybe a remake is needed? But how? One big foot on the bottom end? Straight up or on fours? Or six or eight? Appendixes? Hair or no hair, can it change color? How is that better?

In the cosmic studio experiments with forms and ideas take place. The work of art, is subjected to a profound introspection. Bizarre and failed creatures pass by, while god (she/he/X) searches for improvement. A fresh look at the infinite story of creation.

    Queere Tiere

By QPFA @ Plein Theater, Sajetplein 39, Amsterdam

With Queere Tiere (Queer Animals), Daniel Hellmann, Coco Schwarz and their artistic alteregos Soya the Cow & Piano Prince invite us to dive into a fascinating world where hermaphroditic snails, homosexual hyenas and transgender chimpanzees coexist. Between stories and songs, between post-dramatic opera and drag show, they create a multi-faceted stage space around the diversity of sexuality, love and lifestyles in the animal kingdom. Starting from their personal point of view as queer human animals, they tell stories about real queer animals and animals from myths and fairy tales.

Queere Tiere presents an image of nature freed from the constraints of heteronormative interpretation and transmission, making visible and celebrating life in all its richness and variety.

    Raíz de la Ceniza

By QPFA @ Plein Theater, Sajetplein 39, Amsterdam

The play Raíz de la Ceniza (Root from Ash) arises from the need to recover and make visible the memory of the Lenca people, one of the oldest Indigenous peoples of Honduras, whose history has been marked both by resistance and by the violence of colonization and the subsequent processes of cultural erasure.

In various oral accounts collected in Lenca communities, the memory is kept of women who were murdered for defending life, the land, and the continuity of their culture. The figure of the woman becomes a double symbol: on the one hand, victim of historical oppression and cultural extinction; on the other, guardian of ancestral knowledge and of the spiritual strength that sustains the people.

To represent the Lenca woman on stage is both an act of homage and an act of denunciation. Her story embodies the fracture caused by conquest and by a modernity that devastates, but also the hope that through art, the voices of those who were silenced can be reclaimed.

At the same time, Raíz de la Ceniza seeks to address our present: in a world threatened by the climate crisis, Indigenous peoples teach us that caring for water, the forest, and the land is not only an ecological duty, but also a spiritual and communal act.

To remember the women who were killed defending nature, to remember the cultural extinction that was imposed, is also to remember that we still have time to reconnect with what is essential.

The play thus becomes a scenic ritual that weaves together memory and action, pain and hope, and the ancestral root with the future.

    Sasha Velour

    RAI Theater, Europaplein 24, Amsterdam

On Friday, May 23, 2026, world-famous drag artist Sasha Velour will perform her brand-new stage show, Travesty, at the RAI Theater in Amsterdam. The performance is part of Velour's European tour and promises a radical, visually stunning evening that brings together drag, performance art, and queer history.

Travesty is an 80-minute, one-queen show without intermission, written and directed by Sasha Velour herself. In the performance, she takes the audience through the hidden queer history of a single location through time: from a witch burned at the stake to a clown building a theater and an underground gay bar rebelling against police brutality. With impressive lip-sync performances, layered costumes, and powerful imagery, Velour explores themes of existence, resistance, and the transformative power of drag.

The show is both performance art and a call to action. Travesty celebrates drag as a universal art form and emphasizes that playing with gender, identity, and stories is as old as humanity itself. As Velour describes it: "This is the purest and most radical form of drag I've ever brought to the stage. No excuses, no explanations, just art."

Sasha Velour achieved global fame as the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race and is praised for her emotional live performances and iconic visual style. She previously toured internationally with the successful shows Smoke & Mirrors and The Big Reveal, and performed at leading venues such as the London Palladium and Folies Bergère.

We (Rose and Anna) started this craft circle in October 2022 because we wanted to create an opportunity for queer people to hang out and meet in a non-party context, while sharing our hobbies with each other. And we're so glad we did! Our little group has meant so much to us during these last few years.

No need to RSPV, just show up, we’re a friendly bunch :-)
All crafts welcome!
