Who & what is Fertile Ruins??

Fertile Ruins is a trans & queer performance night dedicated to artistic celebration as a means of connecting more deeply with the brutal realities of our world. It is a home for queers and our allies, where creative experimentation and political consciousness come together in an active community space. Each evening is organized in collaboration with a local activist or mutual aid organization to raise awareness and funds for their important work. During the evening, 3-4 artists from different disciplines present raw, fresh work that will make you laugh, cry, think, and sometimes (a little) pee your pants. There will be food and drinks and a musical act to get you moving. For more information: Fertile_Ruins_Amsterdam on Instagram or join our signal group.

“Leather & Rubber: a community history”

For many people, leather and rubber are simply "kinky outfits". But behind the gear lies a rich history of communities, traditions, and belonging.

Join us for an open and accessible introduction to gay leather and rubber culture. We'll explore how these communities developed, what shapes them today, and the role of clubs, titleholders, bars and social spaces. With stories from Amsterdam and beyond, we look at a fascinating part of gay and queer culture.

Who is this for: Curious minds interested in kink and fetish history, community, and culture. Newbie or experienced: come as you are.

    Bario Pop-Up PRIDE Café

Hal west, Hannie Dankbaarpassage 24, Amsterdam

Missed Us? Bar Bario returns to Hal West for Pride, fulfilling its mission to create an intentional, inclusive space. Our pop-up café offers a Queer haven of calm amidst the overwhelming Pride business, with its familiar warm energy, iconic drinks, and a rich selection of community events.

At its heart is a powerful intersectional exhibition highlighting the layered realities of Queer artists of color. Their work explores the tensions between multiple marginalized identities, inviting visitors to reflect on the complexity of self-definition. By immersing yourself in these stories, you may just break through the isolation that can exist within your own identity.

In a time when Pride often centers on mindless celebration, this exhibition offers depth. It reminds us that pride cannot be separated from struggle – and that embracing every part of yourself is essential for self-acceptance, collective strength, and growth.

Join us, take a break from the festive chaos, and become part of our community. Savor our iconic drinks, join Queer speed dating and other events, and immerse yourself in art that resonates. Keep an eye on our full program – there’s much more to come.

    Bring Your Own Ally!

    Programma:

    14:00 – 15:00 uur: Talk over Allyship & Community
15:00 – 16:00 uur: Borrel op het dakterras

Poly Stories | Neurodivergent Love (Pride Special)

Treehouse NDSM, T.T. Neveritaweg 55-57, Amsterdam

ENM Storytelling Evenings | Treehouse NDSM (Amsterdam North)

THEME OF THIS EVENING: NEURODIVERGENT LOVE

This evening is part of the Pride Art Route and in collab with the QueerTropolis exhibit at Treehouse. As celebrating diversity in love and relating, this evening we dive into the diversity of the minds.

Being able to think outside the box, perhaps because your brain works a bit differently to
begin with, can be an excellent match with ethical non-monogamy. In this world, everyone
can design their own frameworks for relating to others romantically and/or sexually - far
away from societal scripts of mononormativity and relationship milestones. Everyone has
their own set of needs, boundaries, expectations and wishes.

Neurodivergence covers a broad spectrum of ways in which the brain may work or develop
otherwise than is considered typica.. It’s a non-medical term emphasizing that every individual has their own way of processing and behaving. Whilst not everyone who is neurodivergent has a diagnosis, common examples seen within the ENM community are ADHD and autism.

One may lean toward the impulsive versus stability, speaking from deep feeling or from logical directness, acting on moods or planning ahead to know what to expect. One may thrive in some additional structure, and the other loves the spark of the spontaneous. What may be common challenges for neurodivergent people within a normative society, may be superpowers in the world of ENM.

If one partner wants a little room for impulsivity to explore and get excited about new people,
and the other needs advance notice of events to strategically divide social battery, it's worth knowing how you tick. When you take off your mask, you can connect as you are.

    THIS IS FOR YOU WHEN
This evening is for anyone: whether you’re just starting out or already experienced in non-monogamy/open relationships/polyamory.

    Transpodium

    Paradiso, Weteringschans 6, Amsterdam

    “Fetish at Pride”

Visibility matters, especially at Pride. But who decides what is “appropriate”, and where are the limits?

In this open and accessible session, we explore fetish visibility and representation in LGBTQIA+ spaces today. Why do some people feel kink doesn’t belong at Pride? Where do these ideas come from, and how do we respond? Is there discrimination under the rainbow? And how do we navigate the line between what is easily visible and what is judged as “too much”?

We’ll have plenty of time for Q&A with a panel of community voices.

We will be organizing a cozy and welcoming evening for queer women who are neurodivergent, questioning, self-diagnosed, professionally diagnosed, or simply curious to connect with like-minded people.

Neurodiversity celebrates the many different ways our brains work. Whether you have ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or just feel like you’ve always experienced the world a little differently, you’re welcome here.

Each meetup has its own theme to spark conversation, share experiences, and discover new perspectives. No pressure to talk - you’re just as welcome to listen, laugh, and connect.

A friendly host will be there to guide the evening and help everyone feel at ease.

August month’s theme: Life Hacks Night
Got a genius system for remembering appointments? A trick for surviving sensory overload? A colour-coded calendar that changed your life? Or maybe a completely random hack that somehow works?

Come share your favourite tips, tricks, routines, and workarounds with other queer women who get it. Leave with fresh ideas, new connections, and maybe a few life-changing hacks. Join this meetup!

An evening where everyone gets the space to share their talents and express themselves. Do you want to tell a short story, perform a poem, sing a song, or share something completely different? It doesn’t have to be perfect — it’s all about TransJoy. Additionally, Sam will be there with free Henna Painting. Let your hands be beautifully decorated by their creative touch.

*During café InClusion, photos are taken, and films are made regularly. Anyone who does not wish to be filmed or photographed can request a sticker from our team members. This way, our filmmaker and photographer take your wishes into account.

KWIK welcomes those who identify as womxn: trans women, cis women and also intersex and non binary folks who still feel connected to the womn scene. This does not include crossdressers, sissy men etc.

We don’t care if you’ve been doing BD$M for 20+ years or if you’ve only recently discovered your k!nky persuasions.

KWIK munch is an easy-going place to meet other k!nky womxn, get to know each other, exchange experiences and plan for more of the good stuff together.

We do care that we treat each other with mutual kindness and respect. Everybody is different, so no shaming, racism, sexism, transphobia etc. A no-brainer.
