    Queer Talks

    OBA, Oosterdokskade 143, Amsterdam

In augustus verscheen haar queer debuutroman Lik.

By Kwik @ Bar Buka, Albert Cuypstraat 124, Amsterdam

KWIK welcomes those who identify as womxn: trans women, cis women and also intersex and non binary folks who still feel connected to the womn scene. This does not include crossdressers, sissy men etc.

We don’t care if you’ve been doing BD$M for 20+ years or if you’ve only recently discovered your k!nky persuasions.

KWIK munch is an easy-going place to meet other k!nky womxn, get to know each other, exchange experiences and plan for more of the good stuff together.

We do care that we treat each other with mutual kindness and respect. Everybody is different, so no shaming, racism, sexism, transphobia etc. A no-brainer.

Learn to do nothing - it's harder than you think.

When was the last time you did nothing? No scrolling, no TV while eating, no podcast while walking... You get the point.

And no, nighttime sleeping doesn't count. You're unconscious for that. We mean awake, with nothing to do and nobody needing anything from you.

THIS IS A SPACE TO DO NOTHING.

Two hours horizontal with blankets, music, and your phone locked in a box.

👉 PLEASE be on time (15:00 - 15:15 arrival window) to enjoy the full experience of this event.

🌈DRESS CODE: to get the most of this event bring or come in cozy, soft clothing. Wear good socks ;) because you might want to leave your shoes at the door.

👌 BRING: a cuddle toy, blanket or/an pillow to fully relax and go horizontal if you choose so. We have soft carpets you can lay on.

    🌈 October 11th PROGRAM:

Doors open - find your spot, say hi to a stranger, settle in (15min)

Intro to the event + how to actually switch off, because most people can't do it on command. We promise it's not a Ted Talk (10min)

Short guided meditation to drop you in the zone and out of your head (20min)

    100 min of DOING NOTHING!
*If that's too challenging - you can read.

👉 The last stretch supported by 🎹 a live chill piano set by Chris Langedijk, who'll play you back into the room

Coming back slowly. Stay lying down (10min)

Open floor - guided conversation around phone use, rest and whatever came up in the quiet. Then we stop steering and you hang out, make friends, connect with other beautiful queers (35min)

👌 That's two hours horizontal, meditation included.

👉 We finish at 18:00 on the dot, but our space and the cafe stays open till late so stay on if you're not done.

👉 Do I need to be queer to come? No. The host is queer, the events are for everyone, allies are welcome!

    Queer crafting circle

Bar Buka, Albert Cuypstraat 124, Amsterdam

We (Rose and Anna) started this craft circle in October 2022 because we wanted to create an opportunity for queer people to hang out and meet in a non-party context, while sharing our hobbies with each other. And we're so glad we did! Our little group has meant so much to us during these last few years.

Bring whatever you are working on or a new project, there’s always people around that are willing to help and share their knowledge if you are starting something new.

Free entry and you can buy drinks and snacks at the bar, we recommend the fries and their (non-alc) cocktails!

    Queer kinky women munch
