   Throughout history, we have seen an enormous wealth of different forms of sexuality, gender expression, and family structures around the world. Unfortunately, many traditions, cultures, and spiritual traditions have been erased, colonized, and changed to fit Christian norms and values. By taking a journey through history in the Global South, we want to share different forms of family structures, sexuality, and gender expression, so that awareness is raised and participants are inspired to embark on their own journey of self-discovery in terms of their gender and sexuality.

Which colonial structures and systems are still active and how do they influence the LGBTQI+ community, particularly the BIPOC LGBTQI+ community? How do these colonial institutional and social structures translate into our daily lives?
