Special screening: Tammie Zoekt een Vriendje + Q&A!
On Wednesday, September 23, we are hosting a special screening of Lize Korpershoek’s new documentary *Tammie Zoekt een Vriendje* (Tammie Seeks a Boyfriend). And, fun fact, our very own Jonah worked on the film!
Tammie, a young trans woman, longs for love and a ‘normal’ life. But in a world full of prejudice, that feels anything but a given. She wonders if a future with love, stability, and a family is in store for her. In her search for a boyfriend, she engages in conversations with other people about dating, relationships, and her own future. Their stories hold up a mirror to Tammie and confront her with her own beliefs and fears. Why does dating seem so complicated to her? Along the way, Tammie discovers new perspectives on love.
We will watch the film together, and afterwards there will be a Q&A with the Transketeers! The Transketeers is a trans film collective and were part of the crew of the film *Tammie Zoekt een Vriendje*. They also created the podcast featured in the film. Ask them anything you want to know!
