    Seeing the enthusiasm for our live printing at the Dyke March Amsterdam 2026, we are bringing lino back for an afternoon of carving and printing on the 7 November at Nieuwland!
Join us to learn how to make your own prints. The workshop will happen on the second floor of Nieuwland (Pieter Nieuwlandstraat 93), up one flight of stairs (no elevator).
The session will cover: drawing and/or transferring your design onto a linoleum block, carving, printing your designs on paper or fabric, which inks to use, and other tips and tricks!

    Both beginners and people who already have experience are welcome. Come by to learn the basics or to exchange linoleum wisdom with others!

    We are back this Friday to catch the early autumn vibe with you, a workshop of samba de gafieira and social dance session.

    🧩In the workshop of this edition you'll learn the basic rhythms and steps of Samba de Gafieira.

    Samba de Gafieira is a lively, playful, and also elegant dance from Brazil. It's danced to samba music and traces its origins to dance parties in Rio de Janeiro called gafieiras.

    The workshop will be taught by Renata and Matheus, teachers with 10+ years of dance experience, both originally from Brazil. As part of the Coletivo Gafieira Amsterdam, they work on keeping the Samba de Gafieira spirit alive in Amsterdam.

    Join us in making the Dyke March 2026 banner on the 18th of May!

    In line with our theme this year we will make a huge collage work together that we take to the streets on 27 June. You wanna contribute??

    Then come to NieuwLand on Monday, the 18.5. from 6pm to 9pm. This chill craft club session will take place in the main room downstairs and there’s no need to sign up :) Collage supplies will be available but feel free to bring magazines or any material you have and scissors or glue sticks are always needed.

    In May the Dyke March Book Club will be reading “Orlando” by Virginia Woolf! We will also watch the 2023 Paul Preciado movie “Orlando, My Political Biography’ after the book club.

    oin us once again for Dyke Write, a two-session writing group focused on creating a space for dyke writers by discussing, generating and eventually workshopping poetry! In the first session on April 12th, we’ll read and analyze two poems together and write our own poems following a prompt. Then, everyone will each take their poem home and develop it in preparation for the second session on April 26th where we’ll give each other generative feedback on the edited pieces. Dyke Write is open to a maximum of ten participants. Both sessions will last around two hours, and can be signed up for via the link in our bio. Please note that these two sessions are connected, so by signing up for Dyke Write you are committing to attending both dates.
