Queer Library Book Club
This book club, we discuss The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula Le Guin - a classic! It is described as the most famous examination of androgyny in science fiction. We will speak on themes like the ambivalence of androgyny, the dynamics of queer bond, the non-binary and gender fluidity. We will spice up the debate by adding Le Guin’s 1988 essay "Is Gender Necessary?" to the circle, to reflect on the author’s own queer feminist understanding evolved over time. We’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
