Coming Out Day: at QueerHub, we have mixed feelings about it. Visibility can be powerful, but no one should have to come out, choose a label or explain who they are. However, we’ll take any opportunity to throw a party. So on Saturday, October 10th, we’re dancing our way towards Coming Out Day at YOUNG & OU(T)D!
No boxes, just banging basslines. No judgement, just glitter. Gender is a continuum, age is a suggestion and identity is a creative process.
In a city full of bubbles, screens and swipe fatigue, truly looking each other in the eye may be the ultimate act of resistance. We’re breaking through isolation and box-thinking. From 18 to 108: tonight, the distance between generations and identities will melt away under the disco lights.
DJ Queerelles will provide the soundtrack. Put on your most dangerous platform shoes—or roll in on a gold-painted mobility scooter.
Dress code: come as you are, or as the person you’d like to wake up as tomorrow.
Look each other in the eye. Embrace diversity. The revolution lies in the encounter.
