    Challenging bi+ phobia and bi+ erasure & creating a culture of inclusion.

    We are very excited to let you know that Robyn Ochs, American bi+ activist and icon, is coming to Amsterdam this summer! Bi+ Nederland will work together with the Shakespeare Club during Amsterdam Pride to create a special event at the H’Art Museum in Amsterdam on Wednesday July 30th. There Robyn will give a presentation and workshop about ‘Getting Bi: Challenging Bi+ Phobia and Bi+ Erasure & Creating a Culture of Inclusion.’ What does it mean to identify as bi+ (bisexual, pansexual, fluid, etc.)? What are challenges to recognizing and understanding bisexuality and other non-binary sexualities; the largest yet often-overlooked segment of the LGBTQIA+ community?

    No matter how you identify, come to this engaging and interactive program if you are looking for tools for challenging ignorance, bi+ phobia, and bi+ erasure and finding bi+ joy.

    This celebration is for and by the Dolls – centering voices that often get sidelined. We uplift sex worker empowerment, live stigma-free, and move with radical queerness, abolitionist love, neuroscience disruption, and decolonial feminist power.

    During this evening Maartje will discuss with Sebastien their story of being an LGBTQ+ cyclist, their club Queer Wheels (as featured on NPO), and what being an openly queer person in cycling looks like today. They will jointly explore the topics of identity, freedom of expression and allyship within cycling.

    Sebastien will additionally discuss their plans ahead of the 2025 Pedal for Pride event, and what more can be done for cycling to be a welcoming place for all.
