    On 16 March 2026, Framer Framed hosts journalist and writer Elias Jahshan and researcher and cartoon artist Sinin Nakhle for the EU book launch and discussion of This Queer Arab Family, a celebratory book that explores how queer Arab communities reimagine family beyond traditional expectations. Edited and compiled by Jahshan, the publication features ten queer writers, such as Nakhle, from across the Arab world and diaspora, with stories that honour chosen kinship, everyday acts of care and the creativity and resilience that sustain queer Arab communities.

    On 14 Aug, We Are Queer (WERQ) invites you to a workout inspired by the mermaid’s transformation, followed by a conversation on reclaiming sport as a trans and/or queer athlete. WERQ is Amsterdam’s first queer gym, especially for people who identify as LGBTQIA+, where binary preconceptions are kept outside and no outfit is too outrageous.

Through spoken word performances, a screening and a talk, it offers an intimate glimpse into Ghana’s vibrant queer underground culture.

    Cutting Through is a collage workshop for queer and trans participants and their allies, led by queer visual artist Pauli Mast. It’s inspired by the themes of installation THE TAIL by MAISON the FAUX – transformation, silence, and not quite fitting in – and offers a space to explore these ideas through visual storytelling.
