    Guided reflection circle

    Queer hub, Notweg 38, Amsterdam

Queer people hold many different relationships to sex; shaped by our histories, our bodies, our desires, and the rooms we were (or weren’t) allowed into.

Together, we'll explore and look at our sexuality and our sex lives with curiosity, embodiment, while being held by each other. Using a guided reflective framework, we will explore questions like:
What were we taught about desire? What grounds us now? What have we grown into? What are our hopes for the future?

    About the hosts:
Led by Farida, and co-facilitated by Zobayda. As a practicing therapist, Farida has experienced holding space for this topic with individuals and couples in the therapy room. She's excited to experiment further with a group context.

As a multidisciplinary artist manoeuvring community grounds globally, Zobayda takes a deeper step back into her earlier studies of Psychology, helping to moderate/co-facilitate this reflection group with care & curiosity.

This is not therapy. It's a community space to feel and reflect together. We never stick to one and only script, so bring whatever relationship you have to this topic, and please stay mindful of the space you take/give.

  5. Queer talks

    OBA Oosterdok, Oosterdokskade 143, Amsterdam

    Queer talks

    OBA Oosterdok, Oosterdokskade 143, Amsterdam

Verschillende verhalen brengen nieuwe inzichten.

That's why we are introducing our specially tailored FREE Queer Classes These classes are specifically for anyone under the queer umbrella. Our queer classes are specifically aimed at rookies but everyone is welcome.

Boxing gear available and bring your own if you have.

Queerboxing offers free boxing classes for anyone who wants to learn or try boxing in a safer, community-focused space. Our class is called Basic Bitch Boxing, in the most positive sense of the word. It’s about doing something we might not be good at yet but being brave enough to try anyway.

We embrace the idea that it’s okay to be a “basic bitch” sometimes. You don’t have to know everything or be strong or experienced. Trying, showing up, and showing up for yourself is what counts. No experience is needed, everyone can box. These lessons are especially suitable for people who are new to boxing, but if you’re more advanced, it’s a great way to get your basics back on track and practice your foundation.

Everyone deserves to feel safe. We aim to create a space where you can learn to box, build confidence, and hopefully feel a little safer in your body and in the world. It’s also a place to meet community, where friendships can grow.

If you have any injuries, limitations, or access needs, please let the trainer know in advance so we can adapt the exercises where possible.

    DOC, Stadhouderskade 89, Amsterdam

How can we set ourselves up for more effective boundaries? Our goal is to offer an opportunity for participants to enrich their sense of self and awareness, and to recognize their personal boundaries.

    Remembrance Day

    Het Homomonument, Westermarkt, Amsterdam

On 4 May, at the Homomonument, we will reflect on the Second World War and the (queer) victims of oppression and persecution, both then and now.

    Lecture
This year, for the first time, the commemoration will be preceded by a lecture given by a prominent speaker on the subject of freedom and the persecution of queer people in Europe.

ViktĂłria RadvĂĄnyi, chair of Budapest Pride, has agreed to give this lecture in 2026. She will speak about the deteriorating situation of queer people in Hungary in recent years, with particular focus on the Pride ban in 2025, which led to the largest protest in recent Hungarian history.

    Silent march
The silent march sets off from the front of the Westerkerk, passes the

Anne Frank House and proceeds along the canals to the Homomonument.

    Commemoration
Just before 8.00 pm, the tattoo signal will sound and there will be two minutes of silence at the Homomonument. After the silence, the speakers will take the floor. The first speaker is ViktĂłria RadvĂĄnyi, chair of Budapest Pride. The speakers will address themes surrounding freedom and persecution, specifically those affecting queer people.

    Wreath-laying
As the final part of the ceremony, all the organisations present place a floral arrangement on the monument’s water triangle.

The master of ceremonies then brings the commemoration to a close and invites all visitors to lay flowers on the water triangle and then gather in the Westerkerk for a discussion.

    3–5 pm – Het Danspaleis
A good old-fashioned dance party for older people and anyone who loves to swing. The DJ (PD) will be spinning old favourites from the archives of stars of yesteryear, such as Johnny Hoes, Louis Prima, Lieve Hugo and Doris Day. From sing-alongs to tearjerkers, from merengue to English waltzes and from polonaises to belly dancing: at Het Danspaleis, it’s always party time. With Het Danspaleis, we want to give a special place in the programme to the older generation, who fought hard in the past for the rights we now enjoy as the LGBTQIA+ community. Come and dance and flirt at the Homomonument!

    5pm – 11pm – Superball & Sweetie Darling
The two organisations are joining forces once again to celebrate freedom at the Homomonument. Superball is Europe’s biggest drag battle, held every year at Paradiso, and Sweetie Darling is an international queer house party where freedom of self-expression is paramount. In short, it’s party time at the Homomonument!

    Poly stories: agreement artistry

Treehouse NDSM, T.T. Neveritaweg 55-57, Amsterdam

We all want to be open-minded, but some things within ENM are understandably off-limits for some: from not dating your best friend to foregoing a regular testing routine. When it becomes 'don’t watch this' or 'don’t eat that' with someone else, this may seem manageable at first. There will, however, come a Friday night when only late-night falafel is available, or there’s nothing else on TV besides your favourite bed-rotting series together.

How do we keep things special and protected, without putting a bunch of laws into effect that are just not realistic in the long run? Why do we agree on things? To meet in the middle. To have a clear understanding. To hold accountable. To know what to expect. To tune into what we are feeling. To know the bounds of freedom, and where to play. To design our own lives, our own relationships - using the knowledge we have about our needs, longings and limits. To say: “Yes, that’s fine, and here’s what I ask from you - or am willing to give you.”

A relationship contract can be the way forward, yet remain open for review and discussion. What was a necessary tool in new experiences may become an unwanted brake when picking up speed with ENM skill. What was irrelevant in a don’t-ask-don’t-tell dynamic becomes crucial in kitchen table polyamory.

The imagined scenario may diverge from the real-time scenario, insecurity may turn into enthusiasm, a solid base may allow for a looser approach or relationships may take on different shapes with established or dissolved hierarchies. It’s okay. Let’s reinvent. Agreements aren’t a one-size-fits-all. It’s an art. In this edition of Poly Stories, we’re going to explore our agreement artistry.

Poly Stories invites you in the exploration of the wondrous world of non-monogamy through personal storytelling.

This evening is for anyone: whether you’re just starting out or already experienced in non-monogamy/open relationships/polyamory.

    Drag workshop

    Queer hub, Notweg 38, Amsterdam

ho are you when no one’s watching? Who are you when everyone is? Some things you carry your whole life. Others you discover in a room full of people who get it.

QueerHub is teaming up with @kara_karagoza to bring you a drag workshop series that’s less about the glam (okay, also about the glam) and more about what happens when you let yourself be seen.

    More about Karagöza:
Cypriot multi-media maker based in Amsterdam. Their work surrounds the themes of gender, roots and sociopolitical satire. Many times they appear as their drag persona Karagözα – a gender bender jester drag king persona that originates from the traditional shadow play character Karagöz (Turkish) / Karagkiozis (Greek).

Across three 3-hour sessions, you’ll warm up your body, your voice, and your nerve — with theater-based exercises designed to shake off the stiff and wake up the you underneath.

No experience needed. Just curiosity, and maybe a little willingness to surprise yourself.

p.s. this series will be hosted in English.

ho are you when no one’s watching?

Sex salon - The vanilla edition

    Club Church, kerkstraat 52, Amsterdam

We have done it all, covered every sexual practice we could possibly think of. Semen, promiscuity, perversions, solo sex, group sex, pain, paying for it, anal, dick pics, outdoor sex, messy sex, bondage, STIs, older bodies, trans, cheating, roleplay, audio, porn, interracial, cruising, kissing, toys and video.

There is only one topic left, perhaps the most taboo of all in a place like Club Church: vanilla. Yes: beds, romance, couples, lights off, missionary, and maybe even
routine. In the 25th and final edition, we tackle the sex that everyone assumes, rarely examines, and perhaps enjoys more than they’d like to admit.

Expect contributions from, among others, radio maker Robert Weijers and writer Ype Driessen.

This will be the last Salon in Club Church, don’t miss it!

    Shibari classes

    Lola Lieven, Rodenrijsstraat 43, Amsterdam

These classes are designed for absolute beginners, beginners and people who already know how to coil rope, tie a single column tie and double column tie each with double wraps and a square knot.

Information about the class: Shibari is the term generally used to define Japanese rope bondage. Although it has many similarities to Western bondage (the B of BDSM), Shibari is centred around the dynamic between partners and creates a scene of play where ropes are leading the player. The practice is rooted in eroticism but evolved outside Japan apart from sexual also to artistic practices and community building. The classes are designed for all levels but especially for beginners to give a point of entry and start the journey with ropes. They will give everyone the tools to get started in their practice safely, no matter which role they prefer to take on, tying or getting tied; switching is permitted and encouraged. The event lasts 3 hours of which 2 hours are dedicated to class and 1 hour to free tying, a ‘rope-jam’ where one can practise, tie for fun and socialise and mix with other participants. The topic of each class is different every month and will be announced in advance.

    Bio of the teacher

Eileen aka Asiana is a kinky switch with a passion for Japanese rope bondage (shibari). She’s the founder of RopeLounge and has been teaching shibari for over 10 years in Amsterdam. The aesthetics and Japanese approach to tying have a great appeal to her. Generally she likes the more challenging way of tying and enjoys seeing her partners suffer in her ropes. From an educational point of view she likes to focus both on the technical part for safety reasons and the playful part for fun.

    Sasha Velour

    RAI Theater, Europaplein 24, Amsterdam

On Friday, May 23, 2026, world-famous drag artist Sasha Velour will perform her brand-new stage show, Travesty, at the RAI Theater in Amsterdam. The performance is part of Velour's European tour and promises a radical, visually stunning evening that brings together drag, performance art, and queer history.

Travesty is an 80-minute, one-queen show without intermission, written and directed by Sasha Velour herself. In the performance, she takes the audience through the hidden queer history of a single location through time: from a witch burned at the stake to a clown building a theater and an underground gay bar rebelling against police brutality. With impressive lip-sync performances, layered costumes, and powerful imagery, Velour explores themes of existence, resistance, and the transformative power of drag.

The show is both performance art and a call to action. Travesty celebrates drag as a universal art form and emphasizes that playing with gender, identity, and stories is as old as humanity itself. As Velour describes it: "This is the purest and most radical form of drag I've ever brought to the stage. No excuses, no explanations, just art."

Sasha Velour achieved global fame as the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race and is praised for her emotional live performances and iconic visual style. She previously toured internationally with the successful shows Smoke & Mirrors and The Big Reveal, and performed at leading venues such as the London Palladium and Folies BergĂšre.

    Chemsex debate

    Club Church, kerkstraat 52, Amsterdam

Chemsex is in our community and will probably stick around for a while longer.

Church wants to keep the conversation about chemsex going in an informal, informative and non-judgemental way.

In 2018 we took stock of the state of chemsex in Amsterdam, last year we focused on providing information on mixing different kinds of drugs.
This year we zoom in on one specific aspect: how to enjoy sex without the high, if sex on chems has become your default mode.

Whether it's limiting the frequency of your sessions, recalibrating, or abandoning drugs altogether.
We’ll hear about how to get professional help, but also discuss do-it-yourself tips & tricks.

Let’s break down the barriers and stigmas surrounding chemsex, and keep it sexy.

No experience is needed, everyone can box. These lessons are especially suitable for people who are new to boxing, but if you’re more advanced, it’s a great way to get your basics back on track and practice your foundation.

    Melkweg, Lijnbaansgracht 234A, Amsterdam

BIXARIA is an Amsterdam based Queer Brazilian Club Night focused on creating space for shaking all the r4bas! In Brazilian language, “shaking the raba” means dancing with your butt up and down as much as you want, in whatever way you would like to and as far as your imagination can take you!. It’s about fun, joy, sensuality and collective creativity, the way we like it in the streets of Brazil.

BIXARIA holds space for people who want to explore their bodies in whatever moment they are. It comes from movements centered on immigr4nts, BIPOC queers, experimental and dissent people. We don’t assume anyone’s gender or orientation and we’re not focused on how anyone “looks like”. So don’t be afraid, you are queer enough and everybody is welcome! We love you as you are and the goal is to have fun! We have a door policy and a Gender Awareness team to help keep the night smooth.

Expect contemporary Brazilian Funk, Brega Funk, Techno Brega, Brazilian House, Dembow and experiments with all of that. DJs, performances, MCs and most importantly, you. Each edition has a theme, so feel free to dress up and help embody it with us. Come alone if you want and arrive early! You can make friends here, let us know you are on your own if you want.

    Poly stories: NRE Realms

    Treehouse NDSM, Neveritaweg 55-57, Amsterdam

Yes, you’ve met someone new. Have you been reached by a “heady rush of escalating emotional connection and hot juiciness?” Coined by Zhahai Stewart in the 1980s, ‘new relationship energy’ has seeped into love society and the world of ethical non-monogamy. You’ve heard it coming for your friend with a new crush every catch-up, but it may come for you, too. That stranger turned object of desire, appearing only in a cloud of pink, and every other thought? As it leaves you feeling unsteady without your next hit, this new player may leave your existing partner(s) feeling a certain way, too.

Sweet, sugary, and disruptive - such can be the nature of NRE. Feel-good hormones make every interaction rewarding. A six-month attachment phase begins. Behaviour may mirror that of this idealised person. Repeated urges to be close to them may overshadow longstanding connections with others. They may recognise this change in you from before, but don’t experience it first-hand. Compersion (happiness for you) turns sour as dates become deprioritised.

Is it all bad? No. In this edition of Poly Stories, we’ll find out how to make sure there’s enough romance to go around for all people involved, how to redirect commitment impulses to sustainable intentionality - whilst maintaining freedom to explore newness, and how to stay centered in your own identity when others’ modes of being are so exciting.

Allow for play and master your way around NRE. Riding the wave, with skill, may just be the ENM foundation you didn’t know you needed.

    LoveBall

By MEIJT. @ The other side, Rigakade 10, Amsterdam

Relive the past. Celebrate love. Dance into the future. ✹💖

Loveball lands on sacred ground. The Other Side — a venue where nightlife lives, where freedom is felt, and where the energy of the dancefloor takes center stage. A space that invites you to let go, connect, and fully surrender to the music. đŸŒ™đŸ”„đŸŽ¶

Loveball is the official opening event of Pride Amsterdam 2026. On Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM, Pride Amsterdam opens with a night where the city comes together to celebrate freedom, inclusivity, and love. The Other Side Amsterdam sets the stage for this unforgettable kickoff. đŸŒˆđŸ€

Loveball is rooted in the legacy of Amsterdam’s legendary club culture. In the 80s and 90s, venues like Roxy and it defined a generation. They were places where house music, art, fashion and activism collided. Where the night was extravagant, provocative and radically free. Where self-expression was not only allowed, but celebrated. ✹👠

That spirit lives on at Loveball — powered by Diva Mayday, the creative force behind the event and one of the shining stars of the night. As an icon of expression, performance and unapologetic glamour, Diva Mayday embodies the very essence of Loveball and brings its vision to life on and beyond the dancefloor. 💎👑💋

Expect an immersive musical journey driven by house music, featuring leading DJs and live performances by national and international artists. From deep, hypnotic grooves to uplifting, high-energy house sounds that will carry you through the night and into the early morning. đŸ”ŠđŸ–€đŸŒ…

Line-up to be announced shortly. 👀✹

Surrounding this is a world of spectacular entertainment, bold performances and unexpected acts that stimulate the senses and complete the Loveball experience. đŸ”„đŸ’«

LoveBall gives back to the community:

At LoveBall, it’s not just about glitter, glamour, and dancing, we also celebrate the people who made it possible for us to live freely today. That’s why we support queer elders: the pioneers of the LGBTQ+ community who, in times of far less acceptance, fought for visibility, rights, and the freedom to be themselves.

Many elderly people, including queer elders, experience loneliness today. Some don’t feel safe being open about their identity in care homes due to fear of misunderstanding, even though they spent their lives fighting for love and equality. With LoveBall, we want to help change that through a financial contribution and by encouraging attention, connection, and joy, making special moments possible that enhance their wellbeing and quality of life.

Visitors will also have the opportunity on the night itself to donate voluntarily and directly support initiatives that uplift queer elders.

Together, we don’t just celebrate the present, we honor the past and help build a future in which no one is forgotten.

Loveball is more than a party. It is the beginning of Pride. đŸłïžâ€đŸŒˆ

It is a tribute to our past — and a celebration of what’s to come. 💞🚀

Love is not just a feeling. 💗It’s a celebration. Welcome to Loveball. 🎉 ✹

The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and creative force brings a fresh perspective to the world of progressive R&B. Durand Bernarr was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was exposed to music at an early age. He grew up in a family where music was both a passion and a profession.

His breakthrough came in 2016 with the release of “Sound Check,” a project that showcased his distinctive style. He followed that with ‘DUR’ and “BLOOM,” which cemented his status as an innovative force within the independent R&B scene.

    Mykki Blanco

By Club Chrome @ Melkweg, Lijnbaansgracht 234A, Amsterdam

From art project to queer icon. Mykki Blanco began as an experiment centred on a teenage girl posting vlogs and raps on social media. Just over a decade later, the artist has become a household name and a figurehead within the queer community – a reflection of self-discovery and identity through art.

Mykki has pushed hip-hop to unprecedented, unbounded limits by blending noise and experimental elements with club and trap influences, while carving out a distinctly subversive path within a genre historically entangled with problematic ideologies such as misogyny, homophobia and transphobia. While Blanco is widely recognised as a leading force within the so-called ‘queer rap’ sub-genre, their recent work signals a strong artistic evolution that breaks through genre boundaries.

It doesn’t have to be perfect — it’s all about TransJoy. Additionally, Sam will be there with free Henna Painting. Let your hands be beautifully decorated by their creative touch.

    Queer kinky women munch

By Kwik @ Bar Buka, Albert Cuypstraat 124, Amsterdam

KWIK welcomes those who identify as womxn: trans women, cis women and also intersex and non binary folks who still feel connected to the womn scene. This does not include crossdressers, sissy men etc.

We don’t care if you’ve been doing BD$M for 20+ years or if you’ve only recently discovered your k!nky persuasions.

KWIK munch is an easy-going place to meet other k!nky womxn, get to know each other, exchange experiences and plan for more of the good stuff together.

We do care that we treat each other with mutual kindness and respect. Everybody is different, so no shaming, racism, sexism, transphobia etc. A no-brainer.
